Finish your Botswana summaries
Today, you will have some time to finish the task you were given this Monday (the summaries of Botswana information). Hand in the texts to me using Google Docs.
If you finish early...
If you have finished your summaries, and shared them with me. Look at the following graphs from Gapminder:
Annual HIV deaths (check the box for Botswana and Sweden in the right-hand column)
Adults with HIV
The two graphs are quite different. In the first one, Botswana's graph is pretty good. Not many people are dying from HIV/AIDS. If you look at the second graph, though, you can see that A LOT of Batswana are living with HIV/AIDS. Why are the graphs so different? You can also check the box for South Africa to compare with a neighboring country.
Use your reason, the web, and try to at least speculate on what could be a reasonable explanation (I don't have the answer).
Borrowing the novel
At the end of class, we will move on to Läromedelscentralen and borrow the novels so you can start reading. For next Thursday you should have read the first five chapters (that's about ten pages/ day)
