My cold is still very bad, and it doesn't seem to get any better, so, I have to stay home and see if that will work. Luckily, we started work preparing for this lesson last week, so you know what you should do.
This lesson, you are supposed to write an essay called "Can I Be Anything?"
I want you to start your text by referring (hänvisa) to the clip with Barrack Obama, because that's where we got the idea. For instance, you can start out by saying:
"Last week I saw a filmclip about Barrack Obama in class. His mother taught him that everyone can make anything out of their lives, and for him it seemd to work out, since he became the President of the United States. Well, I believe... etc"
...or something like that. Then you discuss in your essay, if you agree or disagree, and at the end of your text, you reach a conclusion (kommer fram till en slutsats) so that you can answer the question in the title: "Can I be anything?".
Use your old texts (letters to celebrities) that I gave you, to make sure to avoid making the same mistakes again.
The text should be 150-250 words long. As you know from our discussion, there are a lot of things you can say on the subject. Write in Google Documents and put the letter in your folders that you are sharing with me.
If you finish, see if someone else finished and switch essays and give each other feedback (spelling, content, things that are difficult to understand, grammar etc). Switch by sharing your document (not the whole folder) with that person. The person can give comments by highlighting a part of the text, click "infoga" and choose "kommentar". Then I can see the feedback you give each other.
You are allowed to use these pages:
- Google Documents
- Spotify (for installing and listening, if the download doesn't work, forget about it and move on)
- ord.se (dictionary, this is the one I wnat you to use, don't use Lexin, and Google Transalte, they are not as good, and you need to learn to use proper dictionaries since they are better)
